What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream settings are very welcome.
  • Experience in teaching Science.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Silverways School is an independent special school which supports children and young people with autism and associated learning needs. The school is set in the heart of the community in Enfield, North London. The focus at Silverways School is on maximising every child’s potential to develop into a confident, resilient, and skilled young person who will make a positive contribution to society and live as independent a life as possible. Silverways School is part of the Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
