We are seeking a dynamic art & design teacher who can bring a contemporary interpretation to the development and delivery of the school's technological, aesthetic and creative curriculum. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are also met. You will establish excellent relationships with parents and carers and inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, families and other professionals.
We are looking to appoint a confident, highly creative and passionate Art Teacher with enthusiasm for inspiring children, through delivering outstanding and engaging lessons. The successful candidate will join our supportive school community, which provides an inclusive and stimulating environment for all children. We are keen to hear from teachers who have experience working with children with autism spectrum conditions and social emotional and mental health needs; however, due to the supportive culture at Wings School Notts, this position may also be suitable for mainstream and ECTs who feel they are ready to take on a challenge.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to deliver high-quality, lively and effective primary/secondary teaching, engaging and motivating young people throughout their education. They should have a genuine passion for supporting students in their learning and development and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on their lives and education. We very much welcome applications from teachers wishing to transition from mainstream to working with smaller groups of students in special education. We will help you build your expertise and confidence to deliver high quality, lively and effective classroom teaching in an autism-friendly way through our ongoing package of training, CPD and one to one supervision.
