Maths Teacher

What you’ll be doing:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.
• Foster a positive learning environment that supports children and young people's educational and personal growth.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
• Experience of working with children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and social emotional and mental health needs is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream settings are very welcome.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.

Who are we?

Mapesbury School is a Special Educational Needs school that opened in Spring 2025 in Cricklewood, Brent. Our small school supports children aged between 7 to 16 years with Autism and associated conditions who have not been able to access education in a mainstream or specialist setting and would benefit from an integrated therapeutic approach to education. Pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) but may not yet have a diagnosis, though they display traits of Autism and associated conditions. Mapesbury School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
