Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging vocational and outdoor learning
- Support strong pupil progress through inclusive teaching
- Lead Forest School (Y3-Y11) and Outdoor Learning provision
- Manage the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme
- Plan, assess and deliver accredited vocational courses
- Organise practical learning, trips and expeditions
- Maintain safe, effective learning environments
- Manage resources, facilities and subject development
- Monitor teaching quality and pupil outcomes
- Support pupil wellbeing as a form tutor
- Collaborate with staff and contribute to school improvement
- Uphold school values, policies and safeguarding responsibilities
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification/experience
- Relevant qualification or demonstrable experience in Construction, Horticulture or a related vocational field
- Commitment to working towards Open Awards delivery qualifications (training available if not already held)
- Willingness to undertake Forest School Leader training (if not already qualified)
- Forest School Level 3 qualification (desirable)
- Assessor/Internal Verifier qualifications (e.g. TAQA, A1 or equivalent) (desirable)
- Outdoor education or Duke of Edinburgh training/qualification (desirable)
- First Aid qualification (particularly outdoor/paediatric) (desirable)
