Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds? We are seeking a motivated and inspiring KS2/KS3 Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people.
About you:
- You will be a qualified (QTS/QTLS) teacher, ideally, with experience of working in a special education setting with children with social, emotional and mental health needs and autism spectrum conditions. Applications from those working in mainstream settings are also very welcome.
- You will be adept at tailoring your teaching and lessons to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
- You will be able to set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils as well as promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
- You will possess good subject and curriculum knowledge and will be comfortable to participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests where necessary and appropriate.
- You will provide levels of care and support appropriate to the general needs of the children and those outlined in their EHCP’s and individualised plans.

What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a teaching degree or equivalent.
- A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
- Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream primary or secondary settings are welcomed.
- Experience teaching KS2 and KS3 curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Wings School Notts, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school near Newark in Nottinghamshire, for children and young people aged between the ages of 9 and 17. We provide a safe learning environment for children and young people with a wide range of varying needs including social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), autism (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attachment difficulties (AD).
