HLTA (Level 4) in Enfield Town

Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a responsibility for Food Technology to join our fantastic team!

What you’ll be doing:

• To work with students, parents, teachers and outside agencies on matters related to student welfare, thereby encouraging positive behaviour and attitudes to student learning.
• Ensure the school is adequately resourced to provide effective cover supervision/arrangements for lessons.
• To work under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher, to implement planning and complement the professional work of the teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities.
• The role will also take responsibility for Food Technology which will include:
• Delivering planned lessons in line with the school curriculum for students in Key Stages 2-4.
• Ensuring lessons are engaging, informative, and aligned with educational standards and objectives.
• Assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Organising and conducting food-based learning and enrichment activities, ensuring they are inclusive and beneficial for all students.

What we’re looking for:

• GCSE or equivalent qualifications, to include English and Maths.
• Evidence of CPD or an interest in learning.
• Effective communication with parents and carers.
• Excellent inter-personal skills.
• Good personal organisation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
