We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join our senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, day-to-day leadership, and continued success of Silverways School in Enfield.

The Role

  • Working closely with the Headteacher, the Deputy Headteacher will:
  • Provide inspirational leadership and contribute to the strategic vision of the school
  • Support and, where appropriate, lead on teaching and learning, curriculum development, behaviour, safeguarding, and inclusion
  • Take a leading role in staff development, coaching, and performance management
  • Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation and improvement planning
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and assume Headteacher responsibilities in their absence

This is a key leadership position for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of pupils with special educational needs and supporting staff to be their best.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be an experienced and successful senior or middle leader with a strong track record of impact
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Have a deep understanding of high-quality teaching, learning, and inclusion
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Share Silverways School’s values and have the drive and resilience required for senior leadership
  • Ideally have experience within a special school or alternative provision but is not essential for the right candidate.
