Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds? We are seeking a motivated and inspiring English Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people.
What you’ll be doing as an English Teacher:
- Deliver inclusive, high-quality English lessons to KS3/4 pupils with EHCPs
- Plan and adapt teaching to meet individual needs and curriculum requirements
- Embed reading, writing and oracy across learning
- Assess, track and report pupil progress, using data to inform teaching
- Provide feedback and set clear targets for improvement
- Contribute to school improvement, moderation and best practice sharing
- Work collaboratively with English Lead, colleagues and communicate with parents/carers
- Support school activities, policies and wider life of the school
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a teaching degree or equivalent
- A qualification in SEND education is desirable
- Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC
- Teaching experience delivering the English National Curriculum
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods

Established in 2018, Oakbridge School is an independent special day school in Birmingham with a specially designed learning environment created to meet the needs of autistic children. We provide a calm, low arousal, safe, positive and nurturing place where young people can learn and grow. Oakbridge School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
