Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring Teaching Assistant (Interventions and EHCP Support Coordination) to join our fantastic team for 4 days per week.

What you’ll be doing:

  • To promote the general academic progress and well-being of individual students and of any class or group of students assigned.
  • To plan and work with teachers and therapists to enhance the students’ learning.
  • To support students by delivering specialist programmes developed by therapists.
  • Deliver or lead specialist interventions on a regular basis to small classes of children to support in their development of phonics, reading, communication or social skills.
  • To develop bespoke weekly/daily interventions for allocated students in conjunction with the relevant teacher or therapists based on their EHCP needs.
  • To support in EHCP coordination.

Fernways School is an independent specialist school which supports children and young people with an autism spectrum condition, the school has a lovely location in Windlesham, Surrey. Fernways School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
