Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team!
What you’ll be doing:
- Support pupils’ learning, confidence and independence
- Provide 1:1 and group support to help pupils access the curriculum
- Use positive behaviour strategies to maintain a safe, calm environment
- Help organise classrooms and resources
- Observe pupils and share key information with teachers
- Assist with planning, assessment and record‑keeping
- Communicate well with staff, pupils, parents and professionals
- Promote safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times
- Take part in training and ongoing development
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of working as a TA; experience across both mainstream and specialist teaching settings is desirable
- Experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs and SEMH requirements
- A team player who will uphold the mission, values and goals of Arc School Old Arley
- Good safeguarding awareness
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for education and helping students thrive
- Understanding of diverse needs and EHCP requirements
- Strong literacy, numeracy, organisational and IT skills
- GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and maths
