Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team!
What you’ll be doing:
- Identify strategies to help overcome individual pupils’ barriers to learning
- Be prepared to use humour and restorative practice to ensure a child-centred approach
- Support the transition of new pupils arriving or existing pupils returning to school, putting the necessary support in place to overcome any barriers to learning
- Provide in class support as necessary to meet the needs of the school.
- Liaise with other staff to monitor pupils’ behaviour and well being
- Build positive relations with parents/carers to encourage family involvement in their child’s progress
- Communicate with parents/carers about specific support in place for their child.

Opened in 2014, Arc School Ansley is an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village. Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs. Arc School Ansley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We are committed to safeguarding and protecting children and we expect all colleagues to share this commitment.
