Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team!
Please note that this is a fixed‑term contract for Summer term 2026, with the potential to extend into Autumn term. This Teaching Assistant role will be working on a one‑to‑one basis with a pupil.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing in-class support, whilst promoting pupils' independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
- May support other pupils across the school if required
- Delivering consistent academic, pastoral, and behavioural support
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of working as a TA, experience across both mainstream and specialist teaching settings is desirable
- Experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs and SEMH requirements
- A team player who will uphold the mission, values and goals of Arc School Old Arley
- Good safeguarding awareness
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for education and helping students thrive
- Understanding of diverse needs and EHCP requirements
- Strong literacy, numeracy, organisational and IT skills
- GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and maths

Opened in 2015, Arc School Old Arley is an independent special day school situated within a rural village near Nuneaton, affording children and young people the opportunity to take part in a range of activities within the local community. The spacious school environment is bright and welcoming with a variety of different learning spaces inside and outside.
Our school has a particular focus on taking learning outside the classroom into the grounds and community beyond and working in partnership with other organisations to enrich opportunities for children and young people.
Arc School Old Arley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
