Salary: Full Time Salary (actual salary): £32,916 - £51,047 (M1 - UPS3) Plus SEN allowance £2,786 per annum

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds? We are seeking a motivated and inspiring KS2/KS3 Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people.

About you:

  • You will be a qualified (QTS/QTLS) teacher, ideally, with experience of working in a special education setting with children with social, emotional and mental health needs and autism spectrum conditions. Applications from those working in mainstream settings are also very welcome.
  • You will be adept at tailoring your teaching and lessons to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
  • You will be able to set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils as well as promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
  • You will possess good subject and curriculum knowledge and will be comfortable to participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests where necessary and appropriate.
  • You will provide levels of care and support appropriate to the general needs of the children and those outlined in their EHCP’s and individualised plans.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a teaching degree or equivalent.
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream primary or secondary settings are welcomed.
  • Experience teaching KS2 and KS3 curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About us:

Wings School Notts, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school near Newark in Nottinghamshire, for children and young people aged between the ages of 9 and 17. We provide a safe learning environment for children and young people with a wide range of varying needs including social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), autism (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attachment difficulties (AD).
