The Role

  • We are seeking an enthusiastic English specialist primary‑trained teacher to deliver the English curriculum across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, with experience of Key Stage 4 desirable.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality English lessons that engage and challenge pupils.
  • Foster a positive learning environment supporting educational and personal growth.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Support pupils with ASC, ADHD and a range of additional learning needs.
  • Create a structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, external professionals and the wider school community to support pupil outcomes.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
  • Demonstrate high expectations for academic achievement and personal development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching English across KS2 and KS3.
  • Desirable: experience of teaching English at KS4 and delivering Entry Level and Functional Skills qualifications.
  • Desirable: a qualification in SEND education.
  • Experience working with children with ASC and SEN.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to inspire and motivate children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
