Therapy Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated Therapy Assistant to join our fantastic clinical team, supporting the delivery of high-quality therapeutic care within our specialist school setting.

What you’ll be doing
- Support the delivery of high-quality Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy programmes, implementing interventions developed by qualified therapists across individual, small group, and classroom settings.
- Work closely with children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them achieve their therapeutic and educational goals.
- Prepare, create, organise, and maintain therapy resources, equipment, and therapeutic learning environments to support effective intervention delivery.
- Keep accurate and timely clinical records, session notes, and pupil information in line with professional standards, GDPR requirements, and organisational policies.
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, education colleagues, therapists, and external professionals to promote a collaborative, child‑centred approach.
What we’re looking for
- Relevant qualifications in health, education, care, psychology, or child development. (Desirable)
- Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs, including ASC and SEMH.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating consistently positive interpersonal skills across all interactions.

Established in 2018, Oakbridge School is an independent special day school in Handsworth, Birmingham with a specially designed learning environment created to meet the needs of autistic children. We provide a calm, low arousal, safe, positive and nurturing place where young people can learn and grow.
Oakbridge School is part of the Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7‑19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
