2026 Foresight Intern in London

London Full-Time On-site
K

Job description

Kearney Foresight is a global team combining advisory services and think tanks. As a foresight intern at Kearney, you will support teams that help clients anticipate change, explore emerging opportunities, and make resilient long-term decisions. You will contribute to research and analysis on macro trends, emerging technologies, evolving customer behaviors, new business models, and geopolitical and societal shifts, translating signals of change into clear implications for clients.

Working alongside strategists, consultants, designers, and subject-matter experts, you will gain hands-on experience with strategic foresight methods such as horizon scanning, trend analysis, scenario planning, and backcasting. In an open, agile, and collaborative environment, you will be encouraged to bring your perspective, test ideas, and help build a future that works for everyone, everywhere—as a Kearney Original.

Key responsibilities

This is a client-facing role, not a research-only position.

  • Conduct desk research and horizon scanning to identify emerging trends, weak signals, uncertainties, and potential disruptions across industries and markets.

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative information, synthesize findings, and assess the potential relevance and impact of changes for clients.

  • Support the development of trend frameworks, future scenarios, opportunity spaces, and strategic implications for client teams.

  • Create clear, engaging outputs—including presentations, reports, case studies, and visual materials—that communicate complex ideas simply.

  • Contribute to foresight workshops, thought leadership, knowledge-building initiatives, and other firm-building activities.

Who you are

Foresight is fundamentally about making connections—between signals, trends, systems, technologies, human behavior, and business decisions. That’s why we look for collaborative, insightful, and inquisitive problem-solvers who challenge assumptions, are comfortable exploring multiple possible futures, and are always unapologetically themselves.

We want to hear from you if you are:

  • Curious about how the world and Europe are is changing and eager to investigate what those changes could mean

  • A strong researcher who can identify credible sources, recognize patterns, and synthesize information

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, open-ended questions, and developing ideas through iteration

  • A clear communicator with strong writing, presentation, and collaboration skills

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as business, economics, social sciences, design, technology, data, public policy, or a related discipline

  • Fluent in English and the local language, if applicable

  • Confident using digital research and productivity tools; experience with data analysis, visualization, or design tools is a plus

What we can offer you

As a foresight intern, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, contribute to meaningful work, and develop practical skills that will support your future career. The internship experience may include:

  • Mentorship and regular feedback from experienced consultants and foresight practitioners

  • Hands-on exposure to strategic foresight methods, client challenges, and multidisciplinary project teams

  • Structured and on-the-job learning and development opportunities

  • An inclusive, collaborative environment and opportunities to build your professional network
