Due to restrictions on the number of certificates we can issue at present, candidates without an existing visa or right to work in the UK are unlikely to be suitable for the advertised post. Everything we do is about giving our residents a place to call home and we are looking for a Chef with a passion for cooking, dedication to quality and a commitment to their role.
As the Chef, you will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious, delicious meals for our residents, taking into consideration dietary requirements and preferences. Your culinary expertise will contribute to the overall wellbeing and satisfaction of our residents.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and serve well-balanced meals for residents and offer a variety of snacks throughout the day.
- Liaise with the Care Home Manager/Operations team.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Manage the kitchen, including ordering, inventory control, and food budget management.
- Create menus that are appealing and varied, considering the dietary needs of residents.
- Monitor portion control and waste.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
- Adhere to all Food Safety and Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and perform routine maintenance.
*This position requires a PVG and two relevant satisfactory references.*
