Overall/Key purpose
To transport students, in a safe and timely fashion, to and from college, based upon a pre‑determined route. To be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of students when in or around the minibus.
Main Duties and responsibilities
- To drive the college minibus according to work schedules as required.
- Use a college mobile phone or pre‑printed college lists to minimise occasions when a student misses their college transport, with driver discretion when appropriate.
- Ensure student behaviour once on the minibus, including seatbelt use and proper storage of baggage, to maintain passenger safety at all times.
- Provide a safe and friendly service at all times, conforming to Health and Safety requirements, the Health and Safety at Work Act, Highway Code, Road Traffic Act, and other relevant legislation and college policies.
