We are looking for an experienced and highly organisedTransport Plannerto join our busy transport operation.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience planning and coordinating8-wheel tipper vehicles, ideally within aquarry, aggregates, construction, or muck-away environment.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and coordination of our fleet, ensuring vehicles and drivers are allocated efficiently and that all work is completed safely, legally, and to a high standard.

Experience withtachographs, drivers' hours legislation and vehicle complianceis essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the daily workload for a fleet of8-wheel tippers.
  • Schedule collections and deliveries from quarries, construction sites and other customer locations.
  • Allocate work to drivers and ensure vehicles are utilised efficiently.
  • Plan suitable and cost-effective routes for the fleet.
  • Liaise with quarries, customers, site managers and drivers throughout the day.
  • Monitor vehicle movements and deal with delays, breakdowns, traffic issues and changes to the schedule.
  • Ensure drivers have the correct information and instructions for each job.
  • Monitor and managetachograph records and drivers' hours.
  • Ensure compliance withEU/UK drivers' hours, Working Time Regulations and other relevant transport legislation.
  • Monitor vehicle availability, MOTs, inspections and general fleet requirements.
  • Maintain accurate transport records and update the relevant systems.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Operations Team to ensure the smooth running of the transport operation.
