The Opportunity
Are you an experienced developer looking to escape corporate red tape and build high-impact commercial solutions at pace? We are partnering with an organically growing, 50-person agile technology business operating at the cutting edge of warehouse robotics and automation. Historically known for engineering complex automation systems for global giants like Amazon and Next, they have successfully pivoted into the SaaS space. They are scaling their flagship Warehouse Management and Optimisation platform, which leverages advanced data insights and AI capabilities to streamline physical warehouse environments. Due to strong market demand, the business is growing sustainably, and this position has opened up as a direct result of internal career progression, with the previous Senior Developer stepping up into an architectural leadership role.
Why join?
You will enjoy complete ownership, direct commercial visibility, and an environment where you can deploy features rapidly without getting bogged down by bureaucratic approval layers.
The Role & Focus
This is a full-stack position with a strong, natural emphasis towards back-end system architecture. You will be instrumental in expanding the capabilities of their next-generation SaaS product, designing data-heavy APIs, and enhancing the core logic that orchestrates real-time logistical environments. On the front-end, the company has adopted Blazor to build rich, modern web applications. However, they maintain total flexibility regarding your front-end background—as long as you have built proper web application user interfaces and possess a solid command of UI concepts, the team will happily support you in getting up to speed with Blazor.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Evolution: Continuously design, build, and scale clean, maintainable back-end code using C# and the .NET ecosystem to power a feature-rich warehouse SaaS platform.
- UI Development: Create intuitive, responsive, and robust front-end user interfaces for proper web applications, utilizing Blazor for internal and client-facing interfaces.
- Rapid Commercial Delivery: Collaborate in a nimble, flat-structured, 50-person team to conceptualise, test, and ship highly commercial product upgrades and custom internal tools.
- AI Integration: Participate in embedding and enhancing predictive and data-driven AI capabilities within the core platform to spot operational inefficiencies.
- Team Mentorship: Act as a technical anchor point for the agile squad, promoting best practices and contributing to collaborative sprint cycles.
What We Are Looking For
- Deep .NET Expertise: A strong background in backend development with deep proficiency in C# and the modern .NET ecosystem.
- Full-Stack Versatility: Solid capability and interest in front-end development. Prior experience with Blazor is a major plus, but alternative modern UI framework experience (Angular, React, Vue, or classic ASP.NET MVC/Razor) is highly welcomed.
- SaaS or Data-Driven Experience: Experience building scalable web applications, preferably managing complex workflows, live tracking, high-throughput APIs, or enterprise data platforms.
- Agile Mindset: An individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, appreciates organic business growth, and enjoys working close to the commercial reality of a product.
