The role:
As a Systems Analyst, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end systems analysis across multiple insurance platforms. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and vendors to understand requirements, define solutions, and support implementation and ongoing optimisation.
Core responsibilities include:
- Conducting detailed systems analysis and functional design
- Working across the full SDLC, supporting both project and BAU initiatives
- Creating detailed specs, process maps, and data flows
- Supporting testing, UAT, and production rollout
- Liaising with finance and underwriting teams to understand operational needs
- Providing hands-on systems support and troubleshooting where required
Key skills & experience required:
- Proven experience in a Systems Analyst or hybrid support/analysis role
- Strong knowledge of London Market insurance, including Lloyd’s operations
- Familiarity with a broad range of insurance systems – underwriting, claims, policy, and finance
- Proficient in SQL – comfortable querying databases and working with large datasets
- Strong understanding of data mapping, interfaces/integration, and workflow/process design
- Ability to bridge the gap between business and IT – clear communication and documentation skills
- Experience with both bespoke and vendor-based systems (e.g. Eclipse, Sequel, Xchanging, etc.)
