What you’ll need
- Proven experience leading and managing Data Engineering teams, ideally in a cloud-first environment.
- Deep understanding of data engineering principles, data architecture, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with the GCP ecosystem, especially:

-Dataflow (streaming/batch pipelines via Apache Beam)
-Pub/Sub (real-time event processing)
-Cloud Composer/Airflow (orchestration and scheduling)
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with solid experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with structured and semi-structured data.
- Excellent communication skills – you can clearly articulate technical concepts to stakeholders and collaborate across distributed teams (UK-based team with global stakeholders).
- A strong passion for data, and an excitement about its application in AI/ML, automation, and intelligent decision-making.
What you’ll get
- Ownership of a mature and extensive GCP-based data platform, managed by a smart, diverse, and passionate team.
- The opportunity to take the wheel and lead cloud-first, ML-integrated data initiatives at scale.
- A collaborative environment that encourages innovation and the freedom to explore new tools, patterns, and architectures.
- A competitive package: up to £130,000 basic, 15% bonus, and great benefits.
