The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the physical infrastructure, maintaining high operational standards and ensuring customers receive a reliable, secure service.
- Install, relocate and decommission servers, storage and networking equipment (Rack & Stack)
- Carry out copper and fibre patching, cable management and structured cabling activities
- Support hardware deployments, upgrades and infrastructure migrations
- Respond to remote hands requests and provide onsite technical support
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and cabling faults
- Provision, test and document customer and network cross-connects
- Monitor the data centre environment
- Maintain accurate documentation, asset records and cabling standards
- Support physical security, health & safety and operational compliance across the facility
Your Experience
- Previous experience working within a Data Centre environment
- Hands-on experience with structured cabling, patching and cable management
- Experience installing, relocating and troubleshooting servers, storage or networking hardware
- Understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling and networking fundamentals
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (must have lived in the UK for the past five years)
