We're hiring an Azure Platform Engineer on behalf of a well-established UK managed services provider. Small, close-knit team, three platform engineers and a Technical Architect, working on Azure environments for regulated and business-critical clients. This is a hands-on building role, not a support or monitoring function. You'll be writing IaC, designing pipelines and owning platform reliability day to day, working closely alongside development squads in a "build it, run it" engineering team. No out-of-hours or on-call requirement either.
The role:
- Building and maintaining Azure infrastructure through IaC (Bicep, Terraform or ARM Templates)
- Designing and improving CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Owning monitoring, alerting and incident response
- Supporting Azure migration projects and new environment onboarding
- Sharing knowledge and best practice across the wider team
What they're looking for:
- Strong hands-on Azure experience across compute, networking, storage and security
- Solid IaC skills, ideally Azure-specific rather than multi-cloud generalist
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
- A background that's progressed through infrastructure, sysadmin or support into platform or DevOps engineering
- SC Clearance eligibility
The setup:
- Fully remote, occasional team meetups
- No on-call requirement
- Up to £65k, some flex for the right person
- Azure certification support and structured development
- Small, experienced team within a growing cloud practice
If you're an Azure specialist who wants to own and build platforms rather than just keep them running, this is worth a look.
