Senior Infrastructure Engineer £65,000 - £72,000 + 10% Bonus Manchester KDR are partnering with a globally recognised technology-led organisation to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer into a highly skilled Technical Operations team. The Role As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll combine hands-on engineering with project delivery, infrastructure design and technical leadership responsibilities. Working within a specialist Technical Operations team, you'll spend the majority of your time delivering strategic infrastructure projects, driving continuous improvement and supporting the adoption of modern technologies. You'll also act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and provide guidance to junior engineers where required. Key Responsibilities Design, implement and support enterprise infrastructure platforms. Administer and optimise Linux-based environments. Drive infrastructure automation using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code principles. Support datacentre deployments, hardware installations and infrastructure upgrades. Troubleshoot complex networking, server and platform issues. Contribute to infrastructure architecture and technical decision-making. Maintain a strong focus on security, resilience and operational excellence. Collaborate with technical teams across the UK and internationally. Support AI and high-performance compute infrastructure initiatives. Current Projects This role will provide exposure to several significant infrastructure programmes, including: Major datacentre expansion and modernisation projects. Migration away from legacy virtualisation technologies. Development of GPU-powered AI infrastructure. Global platform deployments across multiple international locations. Security-focused infrastructure initiatives supporting emerging technologies.
