As part of this journey, they are looking to appoint a

BI Manager to lead the development of their business intelligence function and help drive better decision-making through data, reporting and insight.

Reporting to the IT Director, this is a highly visible role that combines strategic direction with hands-on delivery.

You will play a key role in shaping the organisation's data strategy, enhancing reporting capability and identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Intelligence & Data
  • Develop and deliver the BI strategy, roadmap and reporting standards.
  • Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
  • Develop and maintain Azure SQL data warehouse environments and reporting datasets.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Improve data quality, governance, documentation and reporting accuracy.
  • Automate reporting processes and optimise data models, SQL performance and reporting efficiency.
  • Champion best practice across data, reporting and analytics.
  • AI, Automation & Innovation
  • Support the development and execution of the organisation's AI and automation strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve productivity through technology.
  • Deliver practical AI-driven and automation initiatives that create measurable business value.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to implement innovative solutions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.

  • Contribute to broader technology and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend improvements that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with operational and business leaders to ensure systems and technology align with organisational needs.

About You

We're seeking a commercially minded BI professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the business.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience within Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Data Management roles.
  • Advanced SQL Server and Azure SQL expertise.
  • Strong Power BI development experience, including DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
  • Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses and reporting platforms.
  • Proven ability to deliver reporting solutions that drive business performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable data solutions.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience managing or mentoring BI, data or technical teams.
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dataverse, Azure, Microsoft Fabric or Power Platform experience.
  • Exposure to AI, automation, API integration or Python.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation programmes.
