Hours - 8am - 6pm - Long Term Role

Our Client is a leading specialist construction logistics contractor delivering logistics management solutions on some of the South East's most prestigious construction projects. We are currently expanding and looking for an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional with a strong construction background in New Build Multi Phase projects who is passionate about safety, operational excellence, and team leadership.

The Role

As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all logistics activities on site, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of labour, materials, plant, and vehicles. You will work closely with clients, principal contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure logistics operations support project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all site logistics operations and logistics personnel.
  • Manage delivery booking systems and vehicle movements.
  • Coordinate site access, traffic management, and material handling activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project logistics plans and site procedures.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and workforce briefings.
  • Liaise with clients, project teams, suppliers, and local stakeholders.
  • Monitor logistics performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support programme delivery through effective logistics planning.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce operational reports.
  • Promote a positive behavioural safety culture across the project.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Construction Logistics Management role.
  • Experience working on major construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Good understanding of construction health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and challenging environments.

Qualifications

  • SMSTS / First Aid
  • CSCS Manager Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • NVQ Level 6 - Black Card.

Desirable

  • Temporary Works Awareness
  • Fire Warden, Defib Awareness.
  • Experience with delivery management systems.
  • Knowledge of CLOCS and FORS requirements.
