Approved Electrician – Testing & Inspection (EICRs)

Location: North West, UK
Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

Working Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday

About the Role

We\’re looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to join our growing team in the North West, specialising in Testing and Inspection work.

You\’ll carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and ensure installations meet NICEIC/BS 7671 standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering safe, accurate, and high-quality work while representing a professional, reputable company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out EICRs across residential and commercial properties.
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical installations.
  • Record and code faults (C1, C2, C3, FI) and recommend remedial works.
  • Complete reports accurately using NICEIC software.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and tenants.
  • Maintain van stock and manage your workload efficiently by liaising with our Customer Service and Management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical and health & safety regulations.

What You\’ll Need

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proven experience carrying out EICRs and testing independently.
