The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Here at KDC, we require both F&DT and Stress Signatory to be a part of our engineering team based at our Bristol site. The successful candidate will be used to supporting fixed price work packages whilst operating as an approval signatory, or as a checker with significant experience working towards signatory.
Responsibilities include:
- Customer technical liaison to understand their requirements
- Support and input to the development of static or F&DT analysis task scoping and work breakdown structures to fulfil the customer requirements as fixed price tasking.
- Highlight associated technical and commercial risks/assumptions against the scope.
- Regular interaction with internal analysis team and customer technical points of contact to ensure that tasking is progressing using the agreed methods and processes.
- Identifying and reporting any changes in approach or scope
- Checking / approval of static or F&DT analysis work package deliverables; technical reports, dossiers, supporting analysis files, drawings etc to agreed budgets and timescales.
- Where required perform analysis and associated documentation.
- Liaising with KDC and customer design/systems teams to ensure integration and collaboration between stress, analysis, design and systems teams.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Significant relevant experience in aerospace or high integrity analysis roles
- Extensive experience as a Stress or F&DT Engineer operating at a senior level within the aerospace industry and able to demonstrate knowledge of hands on capability of both conventional and customer specific methods.
- Track record of signatory responsibility within the aerospace industry including approval of technical deliverables.
- Analysis and approval experience of both metallic and composite aircraft structure.
- Strong awareness and understanding of the responsibilities of an Approval role and able to demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of aerospace standards.
- Established engineering capability and someone who can anticipate problems and plan to mitigate.
- ISAMI/Patran/Nastran/Hyperworks/MS Office/GSuite
