    • Test procedures
    • Safe systems of work
  • Coordinate and lead test operators and wider test team activities
  • Ensure test readiness, oversee execution, and control facility configuration
  • Maintain oversight of safety systems and hold authority to stop testing if required
  • Ensure data integrity, traceability, and repeatability of all test activities

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in test engineering and test operations.
  • Ability to develop procedures and operational documentation from first principles
  • Experience of safety management in high-hazard environments
  • Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Ability to rapidly build system knowledge during commissioning and early operations

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience with industrial control and monitoring systems (e.g. PLC, SCADA, DAQ)
  • Experience in commissioning or early-phase operation of new test facilities
  • Background in hydrogen, cryogenic, or hazardous gas systems
  • Familiarity with functional safety systems and methodologies (e.g. HAZOP, LOPA, Risk Assessment)
  • Experience developing or using system simulations to support testing
  • Previous involvement in facility operations or test programme management
  • Demonstrated experience building processes and operational frameworks from scratch in immature environments
