We are supporting a leading aerospace client in the development and enhancement of advanced air-to-air refuelling systems for the KC-46 platform. This is a hands-on Systems Engineering role focused on refuelling pod technology, working at the intersection of mechanical, structural, and design engineering disciplines within a highly collaborative onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete systems engineering activities across the lifecycle of air-to-air refuelling pod systems
- Work closely with mechanical, structural, and design engineering teams to integrate and optimise pod performance
- Identify and resolve technical challenges relating to system integration, performance, and structural considerations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and system robustness
- Interface with internal stakeholders and programme teams to ensure delivery against project milestones
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering within aerospace or defence environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical and structural systems integration
- Experience working on complex aerospace platforms or subsystems (refuelling systems, pods, or similar highly desirable)
- Ability to operate in a hands-on, onsite engineering environment with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges
