You might come from sales and business development, client account management, customer success / customer services, lettings/estate agency, HR/admin etc. Any role where you’ve built relationships, handled pressure, and delivered a high standard of service.
This is a people-first, relationship-led sales role within a trusted Recruitment Agency in North & East Yorkshire. You’ll be helping local businesses hire well and helping candidates take the next step in their career, by understanding what matters to both sides and delivering a consistently high level of service.
It’s not a “quick win” environment, and it’s not about being pushy. It’s about earning trust, getting the details right, and building a reputation that grows through repeat business and referrals.
What you’ll be doing:
- Growing and looking after client relationships (sales & business development)
- Picking up the phone to introduce KD Recruitment to new businesses and book client meetings
- Going out to meet new and existing clients across North & East Yorkshire and becoming a trusted recruitment partner
- Asking the right questions to truly understand the role, the team, and what the right candidate fit looks like
- Keeping clients updated, following through, and delivering a service that makes them want to come back
- Mapping your market to increase business growth and new opportunities
- Attracting, interviewing and supporting candidates (candidate attraction)
- Finding and attracting candidates through advertising, outreach, networking and search
- Interviewing candidates thoroughly, understanding their goals, motivators, and what they’re looking for next
- Helping candidates present themselves well (CV advice, interview preparation, honest guidance)
- Marketing strong candidates to your client network and creating opportunities for their next career move
- Managing the recruitment process end-to-end with clear communication and high standards
- Building your own desk (performance & commission)
- Developing a pipeline of clients and candidates
- Working to targets and KPIs with consistency and pace
- Being motivated by commission, because performance here is recognised and rewarded
