Are you an experienced Service Coordinator, Service Administrator, Scheduler or Operations Coordinator who enjoys keeping lots of moving parts organised? Do you like being the person who makes sure engineers are in the right place, customers know what is happening and urgent jobs are dealt with quickly? We are recruiting for a Service Coordinator to join a growing manufacturing business based in the Scarborough area. This is a busy and varied role where you will play an important part in coordinating service and maintenance activity, supporting engineers and keeping customers updated throughout the process. If you are organised, calm under pressure and enjoy solving problems, this could be a really good next move.

What the Service Coordinator job involves:

  • You will be responsible for coordinating service jobs from initial request through to completion, making sure engineers, customers and internal teams have the information they need.
  • Planning and scheduling service, maintenance and repair jobs for engineers within your allocated area.
  • Reviewing planned work each day and adjusting schedules when urgent or reactive jobs come in.
  • Coordinating engineer workloads and helping to make the best use of available time and resources.
  • Keeping customers updated on appointments, progress and any changes to scheduled work.
  • Managing warranty claims, contract repairs and associated administration.
  • Liaising with Project Managers and other internal departments to coordinate ongoing jobs.
  • Making sure job information, customer records and updates are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Responding to changing priorities and resolving issues as they arise.

What we are looking for:

We would be keen to speak to candidates who have previous experience working in a busy coordination, scheduling or service-based role. You may currently be working as a Service Coordinator, Service Administrator, Service Scheduler, Engineering Coordinator, Maintenance Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Installations Coordinator, Project Coordinator or Logistics Coordinator.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience coordinating engineers, field-based teams, installations, maintenance or service jobs.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, distribution, logistics or a similar environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several jobs and priorities at the same time.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with both customers and colleagues.
  • Good attention to detail and accurate administration skills.
  • The ability to think on your feet and make sensible decisions when plans change.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of your workload.

Other information:

This business offers a strong benefits package alongside a supportive team environment. Full-time, permanent position. Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 4.50pm. Friday, 8.30am – 3.10pm. Flexibility around start and finish times. Hybrid working available once training is complete, currently with the option to work from home for up to three days per week. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Private healthcare.
