We are working exclusively with a well-established business to recruit a Customer Service Executive due to team changes and growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive environment where you will play a key role in delivering excellent service to customers and supporting the wider business.
What the Customer Service Executive job involves:
- Working as part of a small and collaborative team, you will be responsible for handling customer enquiries and processing orders, as well as supporting other departments when required.
Duties will include:
- Handling customer enquiries via phone, email and in person
- Processing orders from multiple channels including website, email and telephone
- Working with part numbers and sourcing correct products or suitable alternatives
- Raising orders on the internal system and liaising with suppliers
- Communicating with customers regarding quotes, orders and updates
- Liaising with internal departments including finance and warehouse
- Assisting with stock checks and working closely with the warehouse team
- Contacting suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information
- Preparing and converting supplier quotations into customer quotes
- Supporting with general administrative duties as required
Skills required:
- Previous experience within a customer service or similar role
- Strong communication skills with a professional and confident manner
- A proactive and hands-on approach to work
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage a varied workload
- Confident using systems and software (experience with Sage 50 or CRM systems is advantageous)
- A team player with flexibility to support different areas of the business
- Ideally some technical or product-based knowledge (e.g. mechanical, automotive, plumbing or similar industries), although attitude and willingness to learn are more important
- A positive personality with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
Other information:
- This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week (9am – 5pm)
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with length of service
- Office-based role within a supportive and interactive team environment
