We are working with a large, complex, multi-site organisation to recruit a Head of People who will lead its ER & Talent functions. This is a highly visible senior role, combining strategic leadership with operational oversight and giving you the opportunity to influence organisational performance, employee experience and the future direction of the People function.
What the Head of People job involves
You will take ownership of the delivery of the People strategy and ensure it translates into clear workforce plans, effective people practices and measurable outcomes across the organisation.
Leading, developing and performance-managing the People & Talent teams, with clear accountability, succession planning and continuous professional development.
Delivering a consistent, responsive and customer-focused People service across multiple sites and business areas.
Developing workforce, resourcing, talent, retention and succession plans aligned to current priorities and future skills requirements.
Providing senior-level advice and oversight on complex employee relations, organisational change, restructures and other high-risk people matters.
Building the capability and confidence of managers through coaching, practical guidance and targeted development.
Using workforce data, KPIs, benchmarking and employee insight to identify trends, manage risk and make clear recommendations to senior leaders.
