Are you an experienced Accountancy Practice Director, Partner, Associate Director or Senior Manager looking for a senior leadership role in North Yorkshire where you can take real ownership, lead established teams and help shape the future of a successful regional firm? We are working with a well-established and people focused accountancy practice with multiple offices across North Yorkshire who are looking for an experienced Director to join their senior leadership team. This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded accountancy practice leader who enjoys developing people, building strong client relationships, improving processes and supporting sustainable growth.
You will take responsibility for three North Yorkshire Offices, providing visible leadership across the teams and ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality accountancy, tax, payroll, audit and advisory services to clients across the region. The firm has a strong local presence, a collaborative culture and a genuine focus on delivering a personal, professional and trusted service to its clients. They are now looking for a Practice Director who can bring confidence, structure, commercial awareness and positive leadership as the business continues to grow.
What the Accountancy Practice Director job involves:
- As director you will take overall responsibility for the performance, development and continued growth of the three North Yorkshire Offices.
- You will be a visible and supportive leader across the sites, spending regular time with each team to provide guidance, create consistency, build confidence and support high standards across the practice.
- Leading, motivating and developing your people through a period of growth, change and improvement.
- Reviewing current ways of working and identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and client service.
- Supporting the delivery of high quality accounts, tax, payroll, audit and advisory services.
- Building trusted, long standing relationships with clients, understanding their businesses and supporting their ambitions.
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to business owners and senior decision makers.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver a joined-up professional and consistent service.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the business and helping shape future growth across North Yorkshire.
- Taking an active role in networking and representing the firm within the local business community.
- Building and strengthening relationships with professional contacts / regional business partners.

Skills Required:

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday 36.25 hours a week. You will have the opportunity to shape the role, local growth and develop high performing teams.
