As they continue to grow and evolve, they're looking for a Payroll Clerk to join their dedicated finance team.

What the Payroll Job Involves:

  • Working in a small payroll team processing hourly and salaried staff on a monthly basis of circa 600 employees.
  • Processing starters and leavers including P45s and New Starter Checklists for HMRC.
  • Calculating holiday pay in line with current legislation as well as assessing entitlement to statutory payments, such as SMP, SPP, MSP, and SSP.
  • Responsible for uploading pension contributions to their pension provider.
  • Processing PAYE payments and meeting HMRC submission deadlines.
  • Producing P11ds, P60s, P45s, and any other tax-related documents.
  • Calculating overtime payments with hourly uplifts, bonus payments, and salary sacrifice entitlements such as company cars.

Skills required:

  • Experience in payroll is essential, although it can be from any industry or sector.
  • Excellent communication skills as you will be speaking to people on a daily basis over the phone and via email about their payroll queries.
  • Strong numeracy skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience using any payroll system such as Sage Payroll, IRIS, or Brightpay.

  • Full time 37 hours a week.
  • Hybrid working typically 2 days from home.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service).
