We are working for a growing not for profit organisation who are looking for temporary payroll support whilst they are recruiting additional people for their finance team.
Working in a small payroll team, you will be supporting with the processing wages for circa 600 employees.
What the Payroll Job Involves:
- Processing hourly and salaried staff on a monthly basis.
- Processing starters and leavers including P45s and New Starter Checklists for HMRC.
- Calculating holiday pay in line with current legislation as well as assessing entitlement to statutory payments, such as SMP, SPP, MSP and SSP.
- Uploading pension contributions to their pension provider.
- Processing PAYE payments as well as meeting HMRC submission deadlines.
- Producing P11ds, P60s, P45s and any other Tax related documents.
- Calculating overtime payments with hourly uplifts, bonus payments and salary sacrifice entitlements such as company cars etc.
Skills required:
- Experience in payroll is essential, although it can be from any industry or sector.
- Excellent communication skills as you will be speaking to people on a daily basis over the phone and via email about their payroll queries.
- Strong numeracy skills with attention to detail.
- Experience using any payroll system such as Sage Payroll, IRIS or Brightpay.
Other Information:
- This is possibly a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.
- Full time 37 hours a week.
