Salary: £27,851 £34,278 per annum (DOE) + 15% Shift Allowance Full-time | Aylesbury The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced and versatile CNC Machinist Setter Operator / Conventional Machinist to join a precision engineering manufacturing environment.

This role would suit a skilled machinist with experience in CNC programming, setting and operating , alongside strong manual machining capabilities.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality components to tight tolerances, working from engineering drawings and technical specifications within a low-volume, high-precision environment.

You will play an important role within the production team, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent quality standards.

  • Working Hours PM Shift 37.5 hours per week Monday to
  • Wednesday: 1:30pm 11:30pm
  • Thursday: 1:30pm 11:00pm

Friday: Non-working day Key Responsibilities CNC Machining Duties Program, set and operate CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software.

Set up CNC machining centres and select appropriate tooling.

Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Adjust programmes, offsets, speeds and feeds to maintain accuracy.

Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.

Produce precision components to required tolerances and standards.

Manual Machining Duties Operate conventional/manual machinery including lathes, milling machines and drills.

Manufacture one-off and low-volume components as required.

Carry out deburring and finishing operations to meet customer specifications.

Support a flexible production environment where priorities can change.

General Responsibilities Complete job cards and production documentation accurately.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.

Contribute towards continuous improvement activities.

Ensure consistently high standards of workmanship and productivity.
