Interim Group Management Accountant

KCR Solutions are delighted to be assisting and excellent client based in Middlesbrough to recruit an Interim Group Management Accountant for a 6-month FTC. You will support the finance function by producing accurate financial and management information, leading budgeting and forecasting activities, and supporting year-end reporting and audit processes. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation and help drive continuous improvement within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, financial reports and analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling activities.
• Review financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Oversee VAT returns and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support year-end accounts preparation and external audits.
• Provide financial business partnering and advice to operational managers.
• Line manage finance team members and support workload planning.
• Contribute to process improvements, reporting enhancements and financial efficiencies.

Person Specification

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience producing management accounts and financial reports.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and auditors.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
