KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Cramlington who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their accounting career within a fast-paced production environment.
The role
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Performing balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Preparing VAT returns and supporting compliance requirements.
- Monitoring stock-related transactions and assisting with inventory reconciliations.
- Processing and reviewing purchase ledger and sales ledger information as required.
- Supporting cash flow reporting and cash management activities.
- Producing financial reports and analysis for management.
- Contributing to process improvements across the finance function.
Candidate requirements
- Previous experience within an accounts or finance role.
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a busy manufacturing environment.
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA.
- Previous experience within the manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of ERP or integrated accounting systems.
