KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this excellent company in Newcastle to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will be as follows:

  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports by cost centre
  • Dealing with variance analysis against forecasts
  • Assisting with the preparation of income statements, balance sheets and cash forecasts
  • Ensuring transaction on the P&L and balance sheet are accurate
  • Managing and reconciling intercompany recharges and liaising with the Group
  • Ensuring the accounts in the general ledger system are consolidated to the Group system
  • Contributing to periodic reporting processes and performing ad-hoc reviews
  • Assisting with reconciliations and analysis, highlighting and resolving issues where necessary
  • Recommending and supporting improvements to accounting processes and reporting practices

You will be a part qualified Accountant, ideally working towards your qualification and will have strong experience in contributing to the management accounts and financial reports. Strong IT and data analysis skills are essential. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is keen to develop and progress. There is the potential of the role being made permanent.
