An excellent opportunity has arisen for a part time Financial Controller to work for this exciting charity on the outskirts of Durham. Your duties will be as follows: Overseeing day to day accounting for the charity Preparing monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and financial forecasts Submission of financial reports and statutory filings in compliance with charity regulations Providing financial analysis to support decision-making for the senior management team Working closely with department heads to develop financial strategies, control costs,and optimising revenue streams Monitoring and managing cash flow and ensuring availability of funds for operational needs Responsible for overseeing billing and collections processes Liaising with external auditors and ensuring smooth execution of annual audits Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, including charity-specific requirements Leading the preparation of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with the charity goals Providing variance analysis and budget forecasts to the leadership team Delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, trustees,and stakeholders Supporting funding applications and reports to external funders as needed Overseeing bookkeeping, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable Responsible for one member of staff You …
