KCR Solutions are assisting our client through a period of change resulting in their need for interim support within their finance department. The term length of the contract will be 3-6 months. Our client is based on the outskirts of Sunderland and operates a hybrid working model. This role will be split between the office location and remote working.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict deadlines.
- Responsibility for the accuracy of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Efficiently manage the delivery of interim and year-end audit deliverables ensuring adherence to audit timetable.
- Manage intercompany billing processes to ensure accurate and timely billing to other group companies.
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Oversee and approve payment runs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payments.
- Ensure VAT is appropriately and accurately recorded for all claims.
- Assist with audit queries as required.
- Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Head of Central Finance and wider finance function.
- Maintaining an appropriate control environment ensuring team members understand their responsibility for compliance and risk management.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis.
- Budgeting and Forecasting.
- Support the development of the Finance team, ensuring they are high-performing and well-structured to meet business needs.
The Person:
- Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA or Qualified by Experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- 37.5 hour week.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
- 3 days office and 2 days working from home.
