Job Description
KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this ambitious, growing organisation to recruit a commercially focused, qualified Finance Director. Reporting to the CEO, you will be part of the senior leadership team. Your duties will be as follows:
- Leading the finance function and supporting the strategic direction of the business
- Strategic planning; business planning and the production of financial analysis and reporting
- Leading the preparation of monthly, annual, and ad-hoc financial reports
- Preparation of the annual and three-year business plans
- Preparation and presentation of financial reports to the Board
- Attending board meetings and acting as a key financial advisor to the CEO and senior management team
- Providing financial modelling and forecasting to inform decision-making
- Identifying financial risks and providing mitigation strategies
- Responsible for robust financial planning, control and regulatory compliance
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory reporting requirements including VAT, PAYE, NI, and corporation tax
- Budget preparation, forecasting, and regulatory compliance
- Overseeing cash flow, capital control, and working capital management
- Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collection of debts
- Negotiating with suppliers and ensuring accurate and timely payments
- Ensuring payroll is managed and prepared effectively and efficiently
- Liaising with auditors and overseeing the year-end audit process
- Leading, managing and developing the finance team
You will be a qualified Accountant and have at least 5 years post-qualification experience in a business of a similar nature. You will have worked in an SME environment previously and have strong financial analysis and IT skills, particularly Excel. A knowledge of Power BI and commercial modelling would be advantageous.
