KCR are excited to be working with this successful client in Sunderland. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will become an integral part of a busy finance team, supporting the production of accurate financial information across multiple business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Preparing and posting month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate cash records.
- Supporting the production and submission of VAT returns.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
- Processing and reconciling sales and purchase ledger transactions.
- Supporting month-end close activities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong understanding of month-end processes.
- Ability to work confidently to trial balance.
- Good Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
- Organised and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
