KCR Solutions are delighted to be assisting a firm of Accountants based in Middlesbrough in their search for a Qualified AAT Accounts/Audit Assistant.
The successful candidate will work with clients from a variety of sectors including education, retail, manufacturing, and charities.
The role requires attendance at clients' sites across the region.
The key duties of the role are
- Assist with audit assignments from initial planning through to final completion.
- Work with a broad portfolio of businesses across a range of sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the audit process.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
- Assist in the preparation of corporation tax computations
- Attend client meetings to help finalise accounts and corporation tax computations
- Act as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries
- Coach more junior members of the team
The ideal candidate will
- Be AAT L4 qualified or working towards it
- Have recent relevant experience of owner-managed small to medium business accounts preparation including statutory financial statements
- Be able to demonstrate a general practice background, with exposure to audit, accounts and tax
- Be driven to deliver excellent client service
- Have a track record in delivering to tight client deadlines
- Knowledge of accounting software packages such as Sage, Quick Books, Xero, etc. would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
