We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading international contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre project in the Newcastle area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile, mission-critical project and take responsibility for the commercial management of key CSA and/or MEP packages, ensuring strong cost control, procurement, contract administration, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

While data centre experience is advantageous, candidates from industrial, logistics, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, commercial, infrastructure, and other large-scale construction sectors are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of major project packages.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support project teams with commercial and contractual advice.
  • Manage payment applications and change control processes.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
  • Experience on large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Excellent commercial and communication skills.
  • Data centre experience preferred but not essential.
