About the Opportunity
I am currently recruiting for an exciting Senior Associate – Private Client Tax position in Cheltenham with a leading national audit, tax, advisory, and consulting firm. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, partners, and high-net-worth individuals. As a Senior Associate, you will work with a varied portfolio of clients, delivering tax planning and advisory services both within the UK and internationally. Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive and reactive tax planning services to clients, including high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and partners, both in the UK and overseas.
- Manage the tax relationship for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with tax obligations and advising on their personal tax affairs.
- Oversee the personal tax compliance cycle, including tax computations, returns, and payments, liaising with HM Revenue & Customs where necessary.
- Set up and run meetings with clients to discuss their tax planning opportunities and ensure their needs are met.
- Delegate preparatory tasks to supervisors and assistants, reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Act as a role model for junior team members, offering on-the-job coaching and support.
- Handle HM Revenue enquiries into tax returns for clients and support them in resolving any issues.
- Work with third parties such as investment managers, stockbrokers, and banks when required.
Candidate Requirements
- ATT and/or CTA qualification or near qualification is preferred.
- Previous experience in the professional and private client sector.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- A passion for providing excellent client service.
- Energy and enthusiasm to achieve results and take on new challenges.
