Are you an ambitious AAT, ACA or ACCA Part-Qualified Accountant looking to develop your career within a highly respected accountancy practice? We are delighted to be recruiting for a Part-Qualified Accountant (Practice)/Business Services Semi-Senior to join a growing Business Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio while receiving full support towards your professional qualifications and long-term career development.

Working closely with experienced managers and senior team members, you’ll be involved in year-end accounts preparation, management accounts, VAT returns and a variety of client-facing responsibilities, helping businesses across a range of sectors achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end accounts for a range of clients under FRS102 (1A) and FRS105.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Complete and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Support managers in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services.
  • Build strong professional relationships with clients and respond to information requests.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and industry developments.
  • Work collaboratively across the Business Services team to meet client deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records, timesheets and work documentation.
  • Gain exposure to wider service lines across the practice.

About You

  • Prior experience within an accountancy practice environment.
  • AAT qualified or ACA / ACCA part-qualified (or finalist).
  • A genuine desire to continue studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of Xero and IRIS would be highly advantageous.
